An Introduction to Churchill's Fine Teas!

Our Afternoon Tea guests were treated to interesting remarks by our guest speaker, Kathleen Kern.  Kathleen is the owner of Churchill's Fine Teas with two locations in the Cincinnati area: Hyde Park and Findlay Market.

Kathleen spoke about her travels around the world in her quest to learn more about tea, its traditions, and to bring back to Cincinnati the finest loose leaf teas the world has to offer.  Her passion has led her to explore the history of tea over the past 5000 years and the many traditional practices developed along the way.  She shared her first-hand observations about some of the world’s best tea gardens.  She has personally tasted all teas that her fine tea parlor offers to ensure they meet her requirements for top quality.

Guests had a chance to sample unlimited cups of four varieties of Churchill's Teas: "Victorian Earl Grey", "Happy Valley" Darjeeling black tea, "Garden of Eden" green tea, and "Tuscan Sun" rooibos blend.

Guests also helped themselves to delicious tea sandwiches, nut-free scones, and sweets, all served on vintage china with cloth napkins, against a backdrop of beautiful artwork by Cincinnati artists.  The friendly atmosphere of the gallery encourages guests to chat with new acquaintances, make new friends, and have a great time overall!
